More than two centuries ago, artisans in the American Colonies were highly skilled at crafting household objects by hand. The 18th Century chandlers perfected ways of carving, peeling, and shaping molten wax into intricate designs, by building up layers of color, they created candles that were beautiful as well as practical.
Let There Be Light, was founded in September of 1994 and follows very closely, the methods used by the colonial craftsman. The candles are hand dipped the old fashioned way, with only the finest materials, to achieve long burning candles. The cut and curl carvings give off a magical, glowing effect upon lighting. Each candle is unique, a one-of-a-kind product of a skilled chandler's ancient art.
